Building on the success of the junior sessions�that ran throughout�last year we have planned a programme of sailing for�juniors prior to racing on�a Saturday.��?
We will continue with the same three fleets of Optimists, Tera/Topper and Mirrors. The Optimist sailing will be aimed at a beginner level with use of Mirrors if conditions do not permit independent sailing. A technique and race relevant training�session will be run for the older�sailors within the Optimist/Tera/Topper fleet.?
The sessions will run for 1 hour prior to club racing to allow the younger kids to either stop�should they wish or�go club racing with supervision/adults. Ideally, we want to see the older kids�participating in�club racing�during the afternoon.
?The sessions will start�with a�12-noon briefing,�aiming to be on the water for 12.30pm.?
Please note that these sessions are intended for parents to be actively involved in teaching their children to sail and we�would�expect at least�one parent/guardian per family�to be dressed and equipped for on the water assistance at all timesduring the sessions.?
