The October series finished this weekend with Nigel Lewis and Steve Hunt in contention for the honours. A miserable day on Saturday with wind and rain saw Steve take pole position with some good results – a first and third.
On Sunday the weather was the opposite – bright sunshine but no wind. The OD provided some impetus to the crews to launch by going to the far shore and setting a line. Without a lot of enthusiasm they eventually followed and two very slow races later they returned.
Overall Steve and Ruth held on to their lead to win the series from Nigel and Cecile.
