Saturday Sunshine

The sunny weather continues, with a brisk NE breeze, and cloudless skies.

The wind eased slightly before racing got underway, and veered to ENE. The change of course caught Artur out, though daughter Olivia in ILCA 6 had a great debut pulling out almost one minute lead on Neil, also in ILCA 6, in both races. Neil leads the series.

In the GPs Dave/Lynn had two wins, consolidating their lead in the series, with AJ/Sue 2nd

Sunday’s weather was similar, though with more clouds. In the morning, conditions suited Artur in his Aero who beat Rory in a K1 on handicap by just two seconds! Dave/Lynn beat AJ/Sue in the GPs, though Val/Ken still lead the series.

Fortunately this family stayed clear of the racing area

The afternoon race was the Jubilee Sailing Trust pennant, so the course took the fleet down to mark 15. Nothing exceptional on the way down, and Scumper/Neil in a RS400 built up a reasonable lead until they hit some fluky conditions approaching Scarness bay when the fleet started to squeeze up. After that, whatever Scumper did to break away again the wind worked against him putting him to the back on handicap! Dave/Lynn took their 2nd win of the day, with AJ/Sue 2nd
