We have learned that Toni Nuttall sadly passed away on Wednesday,  March 13^th after a short battle with cancer.

The Nuttalls were fixtures at the club during the 80s and 90s with Toni being the very patient wife (and sometimes crew) to Peter as Commodore!

Sons Chris and Andrew were both with Toni at the time of her passing.  The funeral will be held later this month in the Cotswolds.

Bassenthwaite Sailing Club are delighted to welcome the NSSA National Youth Regatta back to the lake district.

Planning is well underway for the event and entries have now opened. Please enter via the club website and Webcollect. https://webcollect.org.uk/bass-sc/event/nssa-regatta-2024

Entries will be collated by team managers. Please contact the NSSA for your local team manager.

Team managers will find a spreadsheet document within Webcollect to download, distribute and populate.

Camping, food and sailing will all be available from the sailing club site which will hopefully make it easy for teams to access the event and enjoy the clubs well renowned hospitality throughout the regatta.

Entry fees:
Sailing – Double Handed entry (per boat) £250. Single handed entry £160.
Camping – £65 per person.
Food – £120 for meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) Sunday evening – Friday evening.
£4.50 breakfast Saturday 27th July.
£33 lunch only.

With Saturday’s spring like weather seemingly a flash in the plan, the foggy start on Sunday didn’t put off a couple of dozen members and their dogs from walking around Sale Fell and back to the club for pie and peas!
