The Lake District had the best of the weather on Saturday. Some contestants, from as far afield as Penzance, almost aquaplaned through water laden motorways on their way up. The weekend finished with a pennant race around the lake. The race for the Banana Stakes, presented by former Trustee Bill Anderson, was run on a personal handicap basis. Well done to the 10 Bass boats that took part in this year’s World Championships at Abersoch. In a fleet of 171 boats, places were easily lost, but 7 of our boats finished in the top half of the results.
