House Working Party
I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has helped this weekend to repaint much of the clubhouse. A massive amount has been achieved.

Santa Made It!
The cold weather and snow may have prevented some of the regulars from attending the children’s Christmas party, but Santa still made it after skating across the frozen lake (don’t try that at home!).

Final Day
As there was only one taker for racing this morning, no racing took place and the results of two weeks ago stand giving Tom Gosden two trophies for next year’s prize giving, having won both the personal and fleet handicap version of the series.

Weekend Racing
Races three and four of the Winter series were held on Bassenthwaite last Sunday. The water level had receded somewhat and winds were again light enticing eleven boats onto the Lake. The Musto Skiff sailed by Robin Dawson is a potentially rapid boat and is handicapped accordingly but it is not designed for light winds and, although it finished ahead on the water in Race one, its lead was not enough to beat the following boats on corrected time and the race win went to Jim Christie in his Supernova from Alan Nicholson in his Solo. … Read full article “Weekend Racing”
