The Flying 15 team racing had to wait for the winds to fill in (or was it just for the OD to arrive – perhaps he knew something the sailors didn’t!). From the clubhouse, winds could be seen at the southern end of the lake, but they struggled to make any headway into the northern bay.… Read full article “Grotty Potty Stakes”
With the onset of Autumn, the nip in the air resulted in a greater use of wooly bears and dry suits despite the winds being unusually light. Special congratulations must go to Bean and Toggle Cowan who finished a creditable 17th, while Telf and Smithster were only 4 places behind at 22nd.… Read full article “GP14 Worlds”
The weather certainly couldn’t make its mind up this weekend. Sunshine and showers is part of the story, with the wind playing games for the competitors throughout the weekend, it made OD Neil Currie a nervous wreck!
Following a barbeque, a late night on the dance floor (or pool table), with a bit of Stella as sustenance, left some sailors jaded for Sunday’s racing.… Read full article “GP14 Open Meeting”
