Summer has arrived in Costa del Bass. Whilst the sun shone, the wind was intermittent. It filled in nicely for the start of the first race but the intermittent theme continued throughout the afternoon. In the handicap fleet Mike and Jack in their Graduate relished the conditions and sailed a fantastic race spotting the pressure and keeping the boat moving. They won the first race with Caroline in her Lightning 2nd. Less said about Neil and Archie’s race in their RS400 the better, as they were good at finding the holes to park in….
In the GP14 fleet Dave and Lynn held their early lead and dodged all the holes Val and Ken came in 2nd.
In the 2nd race again at the start the wind seemed to fill nicely only to die again mid race. This time Caroline kept with the Graduate of Mike and Jack and won the race.
Caroline leads the series over Mike & Jack. In the GP14s Dave and Lynn won a much closer race and lead the series, with Val and Ken 2nd.
