The nights may drawing in, with the winds more fickle (is that really possible?), and the water’s getting colder, but there were several hardy individuals that took to the water this weekend (with one or two still in shorts!). Battling Vikings
The Viking Trophy was up for grabs this weekend with the annual Flying 15 team racing event. This year a strong fleet of 21 boats took to the water in good, but testing, easterly winds.

With tale end of the American hurricanes coming through to spoil our weekend after such a glorious week, three RS400 went to Ullswater to enter their one day open meeting. Along with 35 RS200s there were 13 RS400s. The National Mirror Inland Championships were held at Bassenthwaite Lake over the three-day bank holiday weekend. Fifty-three boats entered from as far afield as Plymouth and Shetland.
