Quite a lot of people returned their RNLI quiz papers which were being sold during Bass Week and everyone had done really well. There were quite a few who tied with 95/100. Rory and Toggle have been trying their skills in the Nationals last week at Southampton and they finished in the top half of the fleet with a 16th and 17th respectively in a fleet of 38 boats. On Saturday it was a glorious afternoon. The high pressure system removed the clouds, but took the wind too 🙁
There was a gentle breeze to push the fleet around, but it was much less that we’ve been used to all season

The lake level was high yet again, clearly there had bee a substantial amount of rain through the week – perhaps why it stayed relatively dry over the weekend?!

| Monday – The wind strengthened and the rain lingered on. Apathy and a postponement meant there was not a lot happening! It seemed unlikely that there would be any sailing but who knows?!After a while the rain cleared a little and the water seemed a little more inviting, but it wasn’t long before the racing was cancelled for the day, so it was time for tents to be dropped, and thrown in the back of cars before heading home. |
