Rory and Toggle have been trying their skills in the Nationals last week at Southampton and they finished in the top half of the fleet with a 16th and 17th respectively in a fleet of 38 boats. If only Tog had kept his head on when leading he would have remembered to pass through the start/finish line and not been disqualified!!… Read full article “Vareo Nationals”
Sunday
The forecast was for a north easterly and that’s what came through, and it freshened as the morning went on. There were comments that the wind was shifty, and that seemed to help keep the racing tight, but it was all to the good and everyone enjoyed the sail.… Read full article “Sunday”
Taking the Mick?!
On Saturday it was a glorious afternoon. The high pressure system removed the clouds, but took the wind too 🙁
There was a gentle breeze to push the fleet around, but it was much less that we’ve been used to all season

Extended Holiday?
Not certain whether it is the weather or just recovery mode after Bass Week, but there was a general lack of enthusiasm for racing on Sunday. Two asymmetrics were prepared to race. Hugh went out and, while waiting for Steve and Ruth to finish getting ready, he was enjoying a good plane only to capsize!… Read full article “Extended Holiday?”
